Planting A Vege Patch

Today I planted a vege patch with my daughter, Frankie. It was a beautiful winter’s day and it felt as though spring had arrived early so why not get out in the garden. She is pretty good with eating her fruit but veges are a different story so i thought if we grew some at home together then she might enjoy eating those ones. It was good fun anyhow and hopefully she takes a liking to gardening.

We planted lettuces, cabbages, leeks, spinach, strawberries, spring onions, silverbeet, broccoli & cauliflower, and a few herbs as well. It’s still pretty chilly at night where I live so we will have to keep an eye on frosts but we will see how it goes.

Frankie made a short video to show off her garden.
